A Movement

City Year Milwaukee is proud to be part of a larger movement happening throughout the city.  Community stakeholders from all sectors are coming together to initiate a variety of innovative approaches to revitalize the city. From youth empowerment programs to environmental stewardship, professional recruitment to urban gardening, a renaissance is underway, propelling Milwaukee toward its full potential.

Experience MKE

Often referred to as the “city of neighborhoods,” Milwaukee offers a strong sense of community with all of the attractions of a big city. MKE's many cultural and music festivals, year round farmers markets, and close proximity to Lake Michigan provide City Year AmeriCorps members with plenty of entertainment opportunities and ways to get out and be active. Also, with its overall low cost of living, corps members can stretch their stipend further while exploring this gem of the Midwest.
